TED Events are Back
2020 was a difficult year in many ways, and one of the things we really missed most was hosting our popular customer events in our TED (training, exhibitions and development) centre. Our virtual events were a big success, but nothing beats seeing our customers face to face and sampling the best food and drink from our favourite suppliers.
Thankfully, with the reopening roadmap now released and a brighter future to look forward to this year, we have started planning our TED events for 2021.
Here’s what we have in store for you…
Dysphagia Workshops – TBC July
Come along and discover new recipes and cooking techniques to improve mealtimes for your residents.
We team up with Premier Foods to showcase the most exciting and simple ways to create delicious and nutritious dysphagia-friendly food. Throughout the workshop, the chef will explain cooking techniques and the new IDDSI framework and descriptors. Plus, you’ll get the chance to sample a range of fantastic dishes.
As soon as we have a date confirmed we will let all customers know and make booking available.
The BIG Event – Tuesday 5th October
Once a year, we invite over 30 of our best suppliers to come along to our TED centre and showcase their best existing and new products to our customers. Our last BIG event in 2019 was a huge success with a record number of attendees plus outdoor food and drink vans. Expect more of the same in 2021!
Booking for our 2021 BIG Event will be open in the near future.
The Return of Development Days with Chef Paul – From July
From the 1st of July, our in-house development chef, Paul Dickson, will be available for menu development days for all Birchall Foodservice customers.
If you’re looking for inspiration for a new menu or if you simply want to make the most of the ingredients you currently use, then a menu planning session with Paul might be the answer. Prior to the session, we’ll ask you a few questions about what you’d like to get out of the day, so we can tailor the session to suit your needs and requirements.
Speak to your business development manager if you would like to set up a menu planning session.
